The CELCP (The Research Center for Planetary Literary and Cultural Studies) invites you to its next CELCP event, a talk by Olga Nedvyga (Associate Professor, Department of World Literatures and Languages, University of Montreal). The title of the talk is “Solar Machines from Volodymyr Vynnychenko to Junot Díaz,” and it will take place on Monday, October 30, at 13:00 in the CELCP C-8086 room and on Zoom.

Le CELCP (Centre des études littéraires et culturelles sur la planétarité) vous invite à son premier évènement de « Les lundis du CELCP ». Le programme du février consiste en un cercle de lecture bilingue sous le thème de « cosmopolitisme vernaculaire ». La séance sera dirigée par Catherine Leclerc, professeure au département de langue et littérature françaises à McGill. Veuillez trouver les trois textes courts choisis pour le cercle de lecture ci-joints (deux essais d’Homi Bhabha en anglais et un essai de Michael Cronin en français, accompagné par une traduction anglaise). Rendez-vous le 27 février 2023, de 13h à 15h, au local CELCP, situé à C-8086 au 8ème étage du pavillon Lionel-Groulx, Université de Montréal / Zoom​

The CELCP (The Research Center for Planetary Literary and Cultural Studies), cordially invites you to its first event of “CELCP Mondays”. The February program will consist of a bilingual reading circle with the theme of “Vernacular Cosmopolitanism.” The discussion will be led by Catherine Leclerc, professor in the department of French Language and Literature at McGill. Kindly find attached the three short texts for the reading circle (two essays by Homi Bhabha in English and one by Michael Cronin in French, accompanied by its English translation). The session will take place on February 27, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in a hybrid format (CELCP, room C-8086, on the 8th floor of Lionel-Groulx building, Université de Montréal / Zoom).​

PLANÉTERRITÉ
Le CELCP (Centre des études littéraires et culturelles sur la planétarité) vous invite à sa deuxième rencontre du cycle « Les lundis du CELCP ».
La conférencière invitée, Louise Boisclair, est une artiste, chercheuse indépendante, critique d’art et essayiste. Dans sa conférence intitulée « PLANÉTERRITÉ : comment l'art écosphérique interpelle le vivant sur la planète Terre et représente celle-ci», elle reparcourra les principales phases de théorisation de l’écologie et analysera certaines œuvres emblématiques de l’imaginaire planétaire.

The invited speaker, Louise Boisclair, is an artist, independent scholar, art critic and essayist. In her talk, “PLANÉTERRITÉ : comment l'art écosphérique interpelle le vivant sur la planète Terre et représente celle-ci,” she will review the main phases of the theorization on ecology and analyze certain emblematic works of the planetary imagination.
